Grove Business Park has signed a deal with NFU Mutual to expand its regional team. The agreed pre-let will see NFU lease office space at Aspect House which is currently being completely rebuilt.
Originally a warehouse building, Aspect House was transformed into a trading floor for former tenants Stan James bookmakers. The building has recently been re-named Aspect House due to reflect its stunning views across the neighbouring open countryside. As just one part of its planned £40m regeneration programme, Grove Business Park Ltd is transforming Aspect House by stripping the building back to its steel frame and rebuilding to create 11,000 sq ft of modern Grade A office accommodation.
NFU Mutual, which offers expert insurance across its 300 UK branches, will occupy 2,500 sq ft in the prime section of Aspect House. The company will benefit from its own front door access for staff and visitors as well as excellent parking provisions. NFU has agreed a 15-year lease and will take occupation in May 2018.
Richard Lyall, project director at Grove Business Park negotiated the deal directly with the occupier and explains: “We are delighted to welcome such a high quality UK business making a long term commitment to Grove Business Park. This underpins our position as a serious player amongst other Oxfordshire business parks. We continue with our ambitious development plans, investing in the Park’s future in order to retain and attract more businesses to this thriving community.”
This is the next phase in Grove Business Park Ltd’s ambitious redevelopment plans for the 32-acre site. Since taking over the Park in December 2015 they have set about modernising its existing buildings and facilities, in addition to promoting the development of new business premises, where 85 businesses are now based.
Further phases of development are soon to be underway with the construction of 10 office and business units totaling 36,000 sq ft and ranging from 1,900 sq ft to 6,700 sq ft at Grove Business Park’s “GBP1” scheme which was granted planning consent last month.
A balance of 8,300 sq ft at Aspect House will be available in May 2018. This will be split amongst three offices offering a range of units available from 2,400 – 3,100 sq ft individually, or an option for a full floor of 5,250 sq ft.
